Hudson Guild is looking for our new Assistant Director of External Relations. This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a fast-paced non-profit environment with dedicated colleagues in successful development department. The Assistant Director supervises the Institutional Relations Manager and reports to the Deputy Executive Director, External Relations. The AD will be an integral member of the External Relations team, overseeing all institutional and government funding, including relationship building, proposals, reports and events as needed. The AD will also support the DED in managing all aspects of the ER department. Typical work hours for this position are 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours.
In order to be considered, you must have the following: A commitment to Hudson Guild’s mission; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; 5+ years grant writing and grants management experience, including government contracts and grants management, with a successful track record of securing grants, sponsorships, and government grants/contracts; outstanding writing and organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite; ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to function well in a high pressure, deadline driven environment; excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills; ability to collaborate with other departments and interact with Board members, donors, volunteers, and community members; events management experience; familiarity with Raisers Edge or other CRM; knowledge of the NYC nonprofit and funding community, including government agencies; supervisory experience.
