Hudson Guild is a non-profit located in Manhattan and has served the Chelsea community for over 120 years. We run one of NYC's top after-school programs for ages 5-14 years old, Monday-Friday 1:30 pm-6 pm. We are offering an amazing opportunity to be a leader and a role model for our youth and also strengthen your classroom management skills.
General Function: Under the direction and daily supervision of the After-School Coordinator, the After-school Facilitator and/or Group Worker will be responsible for facilitating and implementing enrichment program for elementary and middle age students. The After-school Counselor will work in collaboration with other staff members towards providing a program that fosters a student's academic and social growth.
Qualifications: Must possess a minimum of 2 years experience and or training in, elementary education, middle school, recreation and/or any other youth services field. Expertise in a special area (STEM, Recreation, Art, Music, Dance, Chess, Cooking, etc.) is a plus.
Job Requirements : Must provide Hudson Guild Youth Development & Education with health forms, and must be able to obtain First Aid & CPR certification. Group Workers must have the ability to work well with youth, parents and program personnel.
